Opening Diskfile in Excel

Some reports can be printed direct to Excel (see Knowledge Base > Software > General > Reports That Can Be 'Exported to CSV'
  • You will need to print off the report you would like to open in Excel to 'Output to Diskfile'
  • Open Excel and do the following:
    • File
    • Open
    • Navigate to the peak\a directory
    • Change the 'All Excel Files' at the bottom to 'All Files'
    • Navigate to DISKFILE and Double Click to Open
    • Click on Fixed Width and then Next to this screen (see below)

 


  • Align the columns as you wish to separate the columns (by dragging the arrow, to add a new arrow click where you want it to be placed, double click the arrow to remove)

 

  • Click Next
 
  • Select the Format for each column (please note: if you have a period number change this column to text)
  • Click Finish 
  • You can then play around with the spreadsheet as you need to
